Your Views on Testing - Make UK

Stephen Phipson, Make UK CEO, is due to attend a round table on Friday afternoon (June 12th) with Nadhim Zahawi MP (a Junior Minister at BEIS) to discuss testing.

Ahead of the session, we have received a list of questions (see below) that will be covered. If you would like to share insights to help our preparation and shape Make UK’s responses, we would be very keen to hear from you.

A Round table Discussion on COVID-19 Employer led Testing Models, identifying key thoughts from businesses on testing:

If you are considering establishing your own testing models to test staff, and if so ideas on how you would do this.

  1. If you have been approached or are considering using third parties for their testing services.
  2. How the test and trace programme will/is impacting your operations.
  3. Your asks of Government, specifically the regulatory challenges you are facing and where Government could give further clarity, create guidance, regulations or even legislation.

Your contributions on behalf of your members would be very helpful and any specific examples (good and bad) would be particularly valuable.

The session will take place on Friday 12th June, so we would appreciate responses by COP on Thursday (11th June). Please send your input to Emily Lawrence elawrenceMakeUK.org, copying in David Fagan (DFaganmakeuk.org). This is important .

If you have any queries, or would like to share your views over the phone, do please contact Emily Lawrence.
