Can I come to events if I am not a member?
Some events are invitation only, some will be ‘members only’ others are open to all. Information on eligibility to attend and any costs will be included in each event listing.
How do I contact you?
In the first instance, via the contact form on the website. We aim to respond within five working days.
How do I get shown on the directory map?
Your membership registration will require your details and a logo. Once approved, this places your company on the Engineering and Manufacturing sector map. You will then be able to complete and update any further details.
How do I update my company listing?
You are able to update your listing at any time using your secure login and password. We will remind all companies listed to update their records annually, to ensure that the information shown in the Directory is current.
How is my data stored?
In a secure online portal, hosted on a secure server.
I cannot log in, who do I contact?
Use the login button, for a password or login reminder.
What are the benefits of joining?
Joining the network gives you access to an information hub which includes updates on Funding and Grants, Business Support, Events, Networking, Supply Chain opportunities, Engineering and Manufacturing news, Affiliation to Make UK, and a listing in our online directory.
What is the registration process?
Upon registration, you will be able to set up the majority of your online directory entry. Once approved, you will receive confirmation of your membership of Dorset EMC and can complete the remainder of your details.
Who are Dorset EMC?
Dorset EMC is a network of engineering and manufacturing companies based in Dorset. The Cluster supports engineering and manufacturing in Dorset, creates opportunities to collaborate, create and innovate with each other, industry partners, schools and universities.
Who sees my data?
Your directory entry is visible to anyone searching the directory. Within the secure online portal, you are able to send direct messages to other companies registered with the Directory, post and respond to tender alerts.
Your full data entry is only visible to the Directory administrator. Your data will not be sold or shared with any third parties, other than those you subscribe to on your registration form.
Why is my economic data required but not shown on the site?
We ask for economic data for monitoring purposes only. This information does not appear on the public directory, to protect your privacy, and can only be seen by a designated administrator. This information is not sold or shared with any third party.
Why should I register?
Registering with the Cluster allows us to check that your company works within engineering and manufacturing and is based in Dorset. We ask all companies to complete a registration form to ensure that the details appearing in the online directory are correct.
