05/11/2025 to 05/11/2025

Professor Alison Honour, the Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of Bournemouth University (BU), would be delighted if you could join her on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 at the Bournemouth International Centre where the BU Class of 2025 will be graduating.

Graduation is the biggest single moment in every student’s journey with the University, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. It’s also a celebration of the whole University and a reminder of the important role that institutions, like BU, play in the life of our towns, region and communities.

This year is especially significant for BU as they mark the start of a new chapter, with the launch of their ten-year strategy, BU2035, which underlines the Univesitiy's commitment to the region and to the businesses, organisations and communities that help it thrive.

They’re inviting a small group of local business and charity leaders to join us on each day of our graduation ceremonies for a light-lunch hosted by their Vice Chancellor and CEO, Professor Alison Honour, to hear more about the strategy. They’re keen to hear your ideas, explore areas of mutual interest, and think about how they can can build stronger partnerships that benefit both their students and our region.

It will also be a chance to connect with other businesses and charity organisations, meet some of their outstanding academics, and perhaps even encounter the inspirational individuals receiving Honorary Doctorates in recognition of their achievements.
