Supply Chain event with HS2 who are looking to extend the businesses they engage with.
To date, over 2,000 companies have helped work on HS2.
As the project moves into the construction phase, £12bn will be going into the supply chain and an estimated 400,000 contract opportunities.
This event will showcase how businesses of all sizes and in all sectors can get involved in the process of winning business with HS2.
You will hear from Andrew Stephenson who was appointed Minister of State at the Department for Transport on 13 February 2020.
He was previously Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development from 25 July 2019 to 13 February 2020. He was first elected as Conservative MP for Pendle in May 2010. He was a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 4 April 2019 to 25 July 2019. He was also a Government Whip, Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury, from January 2018 to April 2019, and served as an Assistant Government Whip from June 2017 to January 2018

Robin is responsible for delivering market and supply chain stakeholder engagement across the HS2 project, with a specific focus on leading supply chain management for the HS2 Rolling Stock and Railway Systems Programmes. He engages with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate HS2 Ltd's requirements, build relationships and ensure suppliers remain informed, engaged and ready to compete for contracts.
Previously, Robin worked in various supply chain, procurement and commercial roles at Transport for London and Crossrail. He is also National Co-Chair of G4C (Generation for Change), the young professional network of Constructing Excellence which champions the change agenda in construction.
At the event, Robin will provide the audience with an overview of HS2, an update on its procurement programme, will explain what HS2 is looking for from its supply chain and how suppliers of all sizes can get ready to be part of Europe's largest infrastructure.
