Building Links Between Business and the Community and Voluntary Sector

01/06/2023 to 01/06/2023

Join Dorset Chamber, in partnership with Dorset Council and BCP Council, for this informative workshop on building links between business and the voluntary and community sector as part of our ESG programme for Dorset businesses.

Both businesses and voluntary organisations can realise huge benefits through working together. In addition, the voluntary and community sector plays an increasingly important role in the delivery of services. Offering volunteering opportunities to your staff can improve staff retention and job satisfaction for your employees as well as developing skills and building capacity within voluntary organisations. You’ll be playing a significant role in supporting the vital work of voluntary organisations and making an impact on local communities.

Chris Beale of Prama will explore the role of the voluntary and community sector in our economy, the benefits of businesses working together with the voluntary and community sector and we will showcase some local examples of businesses that have embraced volunteering.

We will also outline the practical steps that businesses can take to engage with the voluntary and community sector and find the right fit for your businesses and the support needed.

The event will also offer the opportunity for a Q and A discussion and we will signpost to further support available.

This free online event is open to all Dorset businesses and booking is essential. Following booking, delegates will be sent a meeting link.
