Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
About Us
RNLI lifeboat crews protect hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland through our 24-hour search and rescue service. To do so, they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from. The RNLI Engineering and Supply department deliver the asset management for the RNLI including building and re-fitting the RNLI fleet of 440 boats, as well as managing over 1200 locations across the estate. To do so takes a department of skilled engineers, procurement specialists, three factories, around 450 employees, and everything in between! In the Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole area, the All-Weather Lifeboat Centre is based in Poole and consists of Two boat halls with flexible bays for manufacturing and maintaining lifeboats
