There is an opportunity and a need for BCP Council to lead a coalition of businesses and organisations to take appropriate actions as businesses start to re-open in a safe and coordinated manner.
The BCP Economic Recovery Task Force has been established to identify and act on the issues that businesses are facing by bringing together the voices of the key stakeholders and ensuring that there is a coordinated and collaborative response.
Work is already underway to produce a comprehensive recovery plan, and we would like to ensure that you, the businesses you talk to or represent, are aware of the following guidance documents issued by central government last week. They offer clear and consistent guidance to help ensure workplaces are as safe as possible, which will be supplemented with our BCP Economic Recovery Plan – once completed.
The new ‘Covid-19 secure’ guidance covers eight workplace settings, from outdoor environments and construction sites to factories and takeaways. Out of the eight documents, those that relate to the Engineering and Manufacturing sector are – Factories, Plants and Warehouses / Labs and Research Facilities / Offices and Contact Centres
