SARAH GLEESON – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR, VALUECHAIN

Sarah is operations director for a leading software company Valuechain, supporting manufacturing businesses to streamline their supply chains through the use of Customer, Supplier and Network Portals.

Previously working in the Aerospace supply chain for 16 years, firstly in a tier 3 manufacturing SME, then at a Global Aerospace tier 1 supplier to Airbus and most recently as Operations Manager at one of the UK’s third largest independent aerospace special process houses.

SARA DUFF – DIRECTOR, SMART MANUFACTURESara Duff, Smart Manufacture

Sara is the Director of Smart Manufacture passionate about helping SMEs drive improved efficiency and productivity through their business through helping them to systemise their processes and procedures.

She focuses on helping business owners and directors to be able to get end-to-end visibility and control over their operations so that it can free them up to spend more time working on the business, than in the business, so they can drive their growth strategy forward.

NEIL TOLSON – BUSINESS CONTROLLER, SKF & WEAF DIRECTOR

Neil is business controller for SKF Aerospace Clevedon which undertakes research, design and manufacture of self-lubricating bearings. He is also part of the WEAF board of directors.

Neil has successfully submitted an EOI for Innovate UK funding application for a fully automated production line for self-lubricating bearings, having now successfully demonstrated the automated of a current complex manual operation with WMG which is now in the preparation of being turned into a fully automated machine involving small industrial robots and other automation. This automated machine will have a quick payback of less than 2 years.

He also introduced a paperless shop floor for the Clevedon site, using a SKF developed software, customised to certain Clevedon processes and industry standard hardware.
